Democracy is our birthright!

In 21st century, can we confirm to all the human being on this earth that democracy is their birthright? What is happening across the world is real complex. But one thing remains certain from my point of view that educated and conscious citizens are very clear of one thing and that is democratic form of governance is the birthright. The election in Palestine and Iran are a very good example. Even the communist government in China is moving towards this direction. They are giving freedom to its citizen. They have come to conclusion that there is no growth of people or even nation without enforcing democratic development in society. Democracy generates participation. It generates competitions. It develops zeal required for exponential growth of human beings. Is their a lesson for other side of the world who are still in other form of governance?

Nepal has shown the way. Nepali has given a live example to this world. The people of Nepal have shown the power. They have demonstrated their zeal to achieve their participation in the governance of their country. Today Nepal moved away from Monarch ruler. It is great event for the humanity. It is an example for the other suppressed human being of this world. Is it a good lesson for other not so democratic countries?

United States as a single leader of the world is moving in a right direction. Although, it faces a lot of problem inside the country as well as outside, it is doing its bit for the betterment of self and other deprived human beings of the world. How could a deprived human beings ever come to know what they are missing? Americans feel that it is not their duty to teach freedom to the world. But the attack of 9/11 has confirmed that it is very dangerous to keep the blind eye to these development of society. Today, in 21st century, people are more aware and conscious than their ruler. Thanks to TV, Internet and other communication mediums. Ruler may be comfortable to keep poor deprived, but poor will not tolerate this for long. In future, even the people like Osama have to come forward and make some constructive efforts to build a progressive society. How far terrorist activities can convince people that they will get their due through these means? What Osama is doing for deprived Muslim world? Even if Kashmir or Palestinians come to Muslim ruler, how are they going to provide developed status to their illiterate, religious and stupid people? People need proper education. They need opportunity to develop. They need good life. They need basic amenities. They do not need Kashmir or Palestine. Similarly, any other communities need basic amenities rather than anything else in the world. America is doing right. America has done great job by bringing democracy to Afghanistan and Iraq. May God give America and Americans courage to spread democracy and lawfulness to this world?

When the question of democracy comes, it is difficult proposition. It is very complex to decide human needs. I have summarized three ingredients which require special attention to achieve free concepts in society.

1. Global Thinking – We should not restrict our acquaintances with people of one country, rather we should move across the world. We should be ready to accept caliber from any parts of the earth to improve life of humanity. We must unlearn old ‘Missionary Phobia’. When Bill Gates of Microsoft Corporations fought to remove the ‘visa’ restrictions of the United States of America, there is no reason that we should not enhance the system and improve infrastructures to attract brilliant mind from across the world in various field irrespective of region and religion.
2. Global Family – We must consider the whole world as one family. We should cross the barrier of religion, region, caste or creed for making relationships or marriages. Generally, we had been contented with meeting and making family based on caste, language or region. We should stop marriages based on caste or region. We must learn from Hema Malini or Amir Khan. The time has come when we should openly welcome and institutionalized entry of people from across the world. We should stop asking the people of their caste and region to make an opinion or companion.
3. Democratic Behaviour - Time has come to accept the basic democratic behaviour in our personality. It is next to impossible to have a prosperous world if the society is built without the contribution or sense of involvement by each and every individual like rich or poor, male or female, educated or illiterate, no caste barring, believers of any religion or faith, etc.

Nepal is current example. Sri Lanka, Burma, Pakistan and other countries across the world must take lesson from this to bring democracy to their people. Indian leaders also should take lesson to become more democratic. Developed world should not ignore this opportunity. Posted by Picasa

Who wants to remain developing?

Indian Doctors are fighting the battle for society upliftment. Today, it has crossed sixteen days. If you visit All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, you will find Doctors discussing, sitting or sleeping in the front lawn. Some are reading some foreign books because of lack of Indian authors, some are reading some magazines. Some are making posters. Some are gossiping. In a developing society, what is a waste of intellectual pursuits to satisfy the stupid ego of some individuals who are thinking without any valid data? This is just because somebody thought that this way they can win next election. This also they thought without any base. They have formed a knowledge commission and they hardly bothered even about the knowledge of the knowledge commission.

Who wants to remain backward? The society has come along way since last few decades. China is progressing at the rate of approximately 10% since last more than a decade. India is following the path after starting of globalization. Political class should not bring out policies which chokes the development of deprived society. Leadership is playing with bomb. Every poor and deprived available on crossing of New Delhi is like a human bomb. No leadership without understanding these bare facts should take the system for a ride. The partisan policies like reservation may be a proven tool to divide and rule during 18th or 19th centuries not anymore. Poor will tear the leadership apart. If the people of today can ensure the removal of king in Nepal, there is no difficulty they are capable enough to do it here in democratic setup in India.

India has already entered among 10 developed countries in the world. If anybody thinks of poor, they need to be careful of their ‘air-conditioned policies’. Poor are not poor the way our old generation leadership are presuming. They are not naïve. It may be matter of time to misguide them. In this complex situation, it is important to review the compulsions of three important constituents of our society.

Leaders –
They want to rise by keeping backward.
They want to become even Prime Minister or President of the country without reservation.
Why do they want to keep other backward deprived for many generations?
Why do not they try to get reservation first for themselves?
What ultimately they get by keeping the poor as poor, the vote?
Why not rich give vote?
Will this need of vote ensure everybody to use his vote power?
Is exploitation of illiterate and poor the biggest drawback of democratic system?

Forward Class –
Only few old forward people still feels the need to keep backward deprived?
Do they limit their growth to their kith and kin?
Do educated class people want equality?
Does growth of present class of people depend on the homogeneous development of society?
Will forward class people forget that they are forward easily?
Will they be able to think of excellence in such partisan environment?
Will brain drain for all affordable people only solution for peace and growth?
Today, there is a compulsion for all class of people to talk about equality.
Development will give pleasure and success only after conscious consideration of equality.

Backward Class People –
Are they still sufficiently deprived to understand reality?
Do they ever want their growth?
How many generations, the backward class people want to be backward?
Do they move towards forward class if country achieves developed status in next few years?
Why do not they rise and fight to tell self and others that they are not backward anymore?
Are they convinced that they are backward or will remain backward for some more decades and few more generations?
How many backward want that their children also should remain backward?
When are they going to get courage to tell that they do not want backward status for their children?
How long will they wait for some forward to think for their welfare?
Why does not backward leadership emerge to help them?
Backwards need to get up and fight to become developed not for reservation.

In the changing scenario, it is important that opportunities are created. The leadership should be cautious not to keep development a myth. They have to study the ground situation before they talk nonsense. They must take lesson from the procession and demonstration merged on 27th May at Ram Lila ground. People are ready to self immolation. When the people can self immolate, they can bomb anyone any time. Any leadership risks their future existence if they do not rely on wisdom domain. The ambiguities have recently happened in case of Jaya Bachaan. Even Sonia had to resign and go for election again. This shows the shortsightedness of our leadership in earning discredit. India is backward in almost every sphere of human activities. There are a lot of work needs to be done. This must be known to our intelligent Prim Minister. This should be clear to our technocrat President who talks about developed India by 2020. Mr. President, if we talk about reservation today, India will not become developed till 2050. We should talk about removing reservation for scheduled caste and scheduled tribes now. This should be taken up on priorities. As such in spread of PURA, President has shown his poor visions for this poor country. I appeal to him to go through data and records and take some better view of future policies. Time is ripe and India is waiting for these two leaders to deliver. Especially they have more challenges when other popular leaders are not so educated and knowledgeable. There is a challenge. But it is an opportunity too. Posted by Picasa

Celebrating Leaders Ignorance

This news articles was reproduced in Indian Express on 17-09-1990. It starts, ‘Narrow, cynical, sectional calculations are what propel our politicians today. Earlier everything was judged by the interest of our country as a whole.’ This editorial comment is not at all true. If you study this article, there was confusions and scent of exploitation of the poor from beginning. Even Prime Minister used to talk something which is contradictory to the policies. Prime Minister used to do something and talk something. That is what even Manmohan Singh does to save his chair. He does it politely. He formed the Knowledge Commission and today, it is becoming irrelevant and he is accepting it coolly to save his chair. Reservation has been initiated in government sector and discussion is on for even implementing in private sector, he is keeping quite to save his chair. He is knowledgeable and he is aware that reservation is a sweet poison for progressive society, but he is quite to save his chair. Nothing has changed. Time and people have changed. Exploitation of poor is continuing.

Nehru says, ‘I want my country to be first class country in everything. The moment we encourage the second rate, we are lost.’ Then why reservation was started after independence. There is a contradiction in what Nehru talked and what he did. Reservation was ensured to divide and rule.

Nehru says, ‘It has amazed me to learn that even promotions are based on caste considerations. This way lies not only folly but disaster.’ It is great. Prime Minister of the country is not aware about the ground realities. He is amazed to learn something. But what he did even after this. Even today, reservation exists in promotion. It is comfortable talking something and doing something else. It is a good way to divide and rule. It is a good way to ensure that few coming generation will be able to rule this country. There is a contradiction in what Nehru talked and what he did. Reservation was ensured to divide and rule.

Today when Rahul has to show his strength to accept the party post, reservation is serving a good plate form. UP election is in sight. A good result of UP election for congress will pave the way for Rahul. It is simple. What happens if few Doctors die? What happens if police hit brutally to medicos at Mumbai? Cool. What happens, if few people dies for Rahul rising. Congress will be able to rule. It is good to divide and rule. There is no worry if we continue to be developing for another thirty years but Rahul will be able to do something for country. Sonia has done it. The country has to wait for excellence.

BBC discussing what is holding India back? Is it so great to find in Arjun’s era, Sonia’s rule, Rahul’s grooming, Manmohan’s helplessness, Lalu’s celebrations, Doctors orphanism, Knowledge killings and so on? India has to wait. Are our politicians ignorant of few basic facts? India is growing at meager 6% since last ten years. This is subsidies way of progress. This is CPI way of progress. This is poor way of progress. This is reserved way of progress. Is this Congress way of progress? Is it Manmohan way of progress? On the other hand, China is growing at 10% since last ten years. Who is going to lead 21st century?

It is easy. India has to go a long way till we overcome basics – education, unemployment, poverty, sycophancy, trivialize, reservations, discriminations, divide and rule policies, mediocrity, insulting caliber, disrespect knowledge, existence of liars, double-talk, selfish leaders, and many more. The only advantage we had over China is that we have 350 millions speak English. That also against the government wishes. Few poor had courage to come out of shell to learn English. How many is listening to now? But will this advantage for us? Will the reservation be able to take advantage of this in the years to come?

What is the fate of Millennium Giant? Long way to dignity and growth! Posted by Picasa

Cancer In Society

Social discrimination has been a critical and prominent part of the human civilization just a century back all across the world. However as the societies are developing and educations and prosperity increases, the discrimination between humans is vanishing. But, discrimination is still the biggest challenge to human civilization. It is like a cancer to humanity. We must make a policy so that all human beings are considered equal. There should be no need of reservations. Have America ever thought of making reservations for blacks to eradicate the drawbacks of black society? Has Africa ever done it? Is China doing anything like this? Indian political bosses also should take a lesson and find some substitute for reservation for backward, SC, ST or even women. We must eradicate discrimination by removing reservation. We should take other steps so that all human treat other human being equal. Reservations remain a biggest source of discriminations in India. Once it prevails, it will take generations to vanish. Thanks to the Medical Doctors and other intellectuals of this country that they are struggling hard to eradicate from society. Thanks to Doctors who are giving their life for Indian backward societies. Posted by Picasa

China Unlearns - India Recites

China is providing a significant change in the overall thinking of new society. The changes may not be taking place at individual level but they are appearing effective at state level. The leadership is taking drastic step to change the complete concept of new society. There was a time; Cultural Revolution was one of the proudest parts of history and an exclusively specific moment for Chinese. The communist ruler of China used to spend a lot of time and money to project their earlier glories to earn credit. But today, things are different. They want to hide it. They are trying to unlearn it. They are trying to forget it. China has warned researchers and journalists not to publish or organize any events marking the Cultural Revolution anniversary. Once these old histories will not be projected, the common people will move towards new ideas. People will try to learn new things. The country will prosper.
On the other hand India is gripped into old rituals. Indian politicians are trying to uncover old discriminatory policies. They are busy in wasting their time in remembering stupid and fruitless histories. They are busy in uncovering old ideas. They are implementing age-old methods. Even Indian intelligentsia is gripped with this sick mentality. They still find joy in writing that left is right. What is this nonsense? When are the policy makers and intelligentsia going to learn new things? When are they going to unlearn old one?
There is an urgent need of Administrative reforms. Today in India, to set up a new business, it takes 133 days and cost 50 percent of the per capita annual income. In China, it takes 46 days and the cost is just 14 percent of the per capita annual income. This has resulted in more favourable flow of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in China compared to India. Today India needs foreign investment for building basic infrastructures. The development of basic infrastructure will benefit common man. Once Administrative reforms are put in order, this will improve the effectiveness of Government machinery; it would reduce the mounting corruptions in society. People will get clean water, stable electricity, good roads, safer transport system, reliable communication system and so on without bribing any government officials. This would improve the life of common man. Reforms will ensure unlearning at every level.
The administrative reforms will make a significant change in the thinking of ruling class of the society. The ruling class will turn to be serving class. The Administrative heads, police heads, Government machinery, defence and paramilitary forces will all turn to serve humanity. The literate class who were busy in serving themselves and their near and dear, will face tough competitions. They will learn to face challenges. The power to provide the basic necessity to common man will not be available to these serving class people. Once administrative reforms takes place, the serving class will start thinking for poverty eradication in real sense.
India has witnessed the growth and eradication of poverty from 51% to 15% in last 20 years. There is no way in next few years; we shall be able to remove poverty from the land of Buddha, and Gandhi on our own. We shall be in position to build new social setup with sincere efforts. We shall be able to achieve satisfactory results through innovation and new way of thinking. When China is doing different things why India leadership keeping their eyes shut? Great China unlearns while India recites. There is a need to change. Posted by Picasa

IITians As A Political Leaders

IITians As Political Leader

The way some of the existing political leaders, playing with the sentiments of the educated lot in the country, is a shame for the Indian democracy. I failed to understand why such a futuristic country has such a pathetic politicians like Arjun Singh. I am shocked when he questions the constitutional rights of Knowledge Commission. How can he make fool of everyone? He may garner few credits here and there but it may be a matter of time. India is rising and it will not tolerate such shameless assertion of 19th century philosophy when it was easy to divide people on caste and religion basis. India will overcome such atrocities on this land of Buddha.

Just few decades before, in 1970s and 1980s, India had a very big sore issue of brain drain, the migration of its intellectual capital to the developing world. The case of brain drain has not gone in the drain altogether, but the brain has been preserved. These preserved brains have not only given the recognition of Indian mind through Nobel Prizes, but today when they have looked back towards this nation with affections or attachments; it has changed the whole paradigm of civilization. Dr R. A. Mashelkar, commonly known as Dangerous Optimist, points out that one such person with the brilliance when comes back to this country, will be equivalent to 100 existing people here. India is lucky to have such a population of 20 million across the world in the length and breadth of this earth. They are going to change the future not Arjun.

Modern Arjun is handicap when he does not bother even Krishna in the form of knowledge commission. How modern Arjun is getting wisdom? He can not survive long in this war. Today, it is unfortunate that foreigners or the people of developed countries know the potential of this country more than we Indians. Our leadership may be hesitant to generate confidence in the technocrats, planner and visionaries, but the world is realizing the potentials. Today, many developed countries are ready and interested to invest in our engineers and scientists including setting up Research and Development centres. It is hardly known to few even today, the world finest design of minutest chip is being done in Silicon Valley of India. The design of the most advanced cars of the world is taking place here. Few big companies of the world have shown inclination to move their major research and production wing to this country.

In the last few centuries of oppression, India has lost its own wisdom domain or trivializes the whole issue of initiatives. In 18th century, we worked hard on the path of liberation. The Sati Pratha, caste system, Dalit discriminations and other anomalies of society were handled for the benefit of human beings in general. In the last century, we mastered ourselves in copying from all across the world whether it is appliance, system, music, and culture or even dresses. Last centuries, I call it Xerox Century of India. Today’s in politics, some disgruntled people are following the age old methods to earn credit. India is awakening. It will not tolerate nonsense. For sometime, you can crush the voice through police atrocities but it will not go for long. The old politicians have to die fast. They have to be replaced by some brains. No body can keep them behind.
Five IITians, all in their 20s, have decided to take up mainstream politics. The youths, based in Jodhpur, will be in the city to campaign for their national party, “ Paritrana’’ , which was launched in Jodhpur on Friday. “Giving up handsome pay packages, comfort of family and support of friends wasn’t that easy,’’ says Tanmay Rajpurohit, the national president of the party and B Tech in aerospace from IIT Bombay followed by an MS from GeorgiaTech and double masters in arts. “But my inner voice told me that I should invest my efforts in my country rather than making my pockets heavier,’’ said Ajit Ashwalayan Shukla, vice president of the party. “People think we are crazy so much so that our families have also failed to understand our motto, but we won’t give up,’’ he added.

I am happy that new brains will be able to provide some solace at this difficult time to the educated of this country. The core team of “Paritrana’ ’ comprises Rajpurohit , Shukla, Amit Beesen, also the vice president and a B Tech (Mechanical) from IIT Bombay and a LLB graduate, Chandrashekhar (national treasurer), B Tech (computer science) from IIT Kanpur, Bharat Sundaram, the PRO of the party and B Tech from IIT Kanpur and PhD in electronics from Melbourne. “Paritrana means complete relief from the various causes of distress, and that is what we want to do for our people,’’ added Chandrashekhar. Low funds have not discouraged them in their efforts of holding door-to-door campaigns in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and parts of Maharashtra. “We strongly feel that the politicians of today are no longer the voice of the common man but instead they voice their own personal agendas through which they can fetch maximum votes,’’ said Shukla.
“We are not here for the power game. We are here to deal with the grassroots issues of each and every small village that we come across,’’ added Shukla. The zeal and burning desire of the five youngsters sounds sincere. “I believe that we are just five ordinary boys from the middle class family with no godfathers in politics but have dared to come forward and fight for our rights,’’ said Chandrashekhar. “And we will succeed in it,’’ he added. After the launch of the party at the Suchana Kendra in Jodhpur, the party members, as a part of their promotional campaign will tour Jodhpur, Udaipur, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore and Chennai.

They are moving all across country for last few months. They were active in last assembly elections. They are the real hope. In addition to these people, there are other rising companies who are ready to shoulder responsibilities to take this country in the right direction. Every body wants to take the poor in right direction but very few who knows the right direction. You have to have knowledge, respect and experience. Hope in times to come police brutality on anti-quota protestors in Mumbai will be revenged by wisdom. I hope all backward, scheduled castes and scheduled tribes will come ahead in against reservation. This country needs wisdom, freedom, opportunities rather than reservation and subsidies. Rise awake those reserved people! Posted by Picasa

Scrap Knowledge From India

Indian cinema and Indian politics are two very dominant mediums for common people. Especially if we talk about Indian cinema, the quality has hardly improved by any standard. Since the last sixty years, we have hardly seen any changes in the basic structure of the movies. The stories revolve around similar plots of a hero, heroin and villain. Every year, we make heroes, heroines, villains, directors, producers famous but the story of Indian cinema remains the same. They claim, they make movies for entertainment. They hardly contain any realistic facts of life. They are a total misfit and misguided. With changing times, they are not able to provide any creative excitement needed in society.
Similarly, Indian politics still works on the principle of the 1950s. The illiterate voters are forced to support the old traditions. They revolve around the cult of a few individuals. These old traditional systems ensure that power remains within the purview of a few individuals. They do not allow the system to grow. Neither do they allow the new ideas to be implemented. They are trapped in their so-called cherished culture. These traditions do not allow growth. They do not have wisdom. They need to create wisdom domains for their futuristic ideas. Few years ago, when Manmohan Singh formed the knowledge commission, it gave some hope to this country. Today, India is on the verge of a crucial stage, the issues like reservation taking our energy and resources to divid3e the Indian polity. Some selfish people are behind this turmoil. The nation is suffering. It was ironic that government took the important decisions like reservation without consulting its knowledge source. Commission chief Pitroda claims that he came to know about reservation through news paper. Who takes decisions? Why do we have knowledge commission? It is better to scrape the ‘knowledge’ from this commission. Let us run a country without knowledge.
Besides politics, there is so much backwardness prevailing in different fields in developing society. This backwardness remains the biggest handicap of the availability of the wisdom to people of the developing world. They have to be conquered very systematically and meticulously. At every level of education, there is a significant amount of ignorance. There is no good thinker in society. There is no good philosopher in society. There are hardly any constructive ideas developed for the betterment of society. The few creative people have to struggle a lot. The people in general depend upon the imported ideas developed in the developed world. That is why; deBono, Stephen Covey, Daniel Pink, Jeffery Sachs, Malcom Gladwell and other thinkers from Western world are famous in developing countries. Where to get wisdom? Where is knowledge? Thanks to Americans, British and Europeans.
There are plenty of decisions which affect our life drastically without making us realise the quantum of repercussions. They are unimaginable. I doubt somebody has ever tried to calculate the loss and gain of such decisions. As far as the outcomes of such decisions are concerned, we have been contented with the remarks that these are the result of my luck or fortune or lines of the hand and so on. Forget about individual, such decisions have impacted the entire society but most of the time fighting against the normal decision-making process itself had been a big struggle in life. One has to fight with self, fight with close relatives, fight with society, fight with system, fight with nations and practices. It is whole list of fighting machinery which works against growing individual, developing nations and prospering societies. People call them as struggle, they generally call them as a process of growing, they call them hard work, they call them jugad (tricks), they call them as fate. But if we analyze properly, it is just a simple decision to make a life or break a life. But how many times, we ever get a chance to realise this simple facts. The so-called opportunity comes in our life just as a simple decision making moment and we fail, we fail miserably to take right decisions. Most of the time because of ignorance, fear, danger, lack of confidence and knowledge, pressure from uneducated or illiterate elders, pressure from so-called society or lack of support system, we are not able to knock right decisions at right time. Our decisions are keeping us slaves in a free world. Developing world is struggling in its own doings like reservations, casteism, terrorism, regionalism etc. Is there any benefit of the growth? Is it giving peace?
There are many turning points in nation building. We hardly ever realise or think of these turning points. These turning points in life keep the nation developing. The nation will never be able to become developed. The society has to develop. The individual has to prosper. There has to be opportunities. There has to be abundance of basic amenities. Indian capital is struggling to get twenty four hour power supply. How can we think of becoming developed? Our doctors are dying on the road. They are facing heat at India gate. What is this wastage of resources?
Most of us who rise on occasions and rise fast in the growing or developing societies find themselves orphaned. Invariably it happens with almost everyone in any part of world or in any society, irrespective of its financial situations. This is not the prerogative of poor people but even the rich face this challenge. We keep hearing about the high class suicide cases. Someone jumps from a five star corridor, someone from rich family put his wife inside the tandoor i.e. oven and so on. There are so many school children committing suicide after the results of class X or XII. An engineer preparing for his administrative service examination jumps from fourth floor in the Indian Institute of technology campus. These happen because of the sense of orphanism. When situations have arisen many folds to create orphanism in the society, we find life has given plenty of revolutionary things for the help of individual and society. We are forced to look outside. Brain drain can be the solution. One needs to change the living situations. The country must be awakening with these facts. What is the use to waste the brain in the knowledge less society? What is to do with this nation where knowledge is the last thing to be referred? Posted by Picasa
