We have to Deliver!

We have reached a point, where we are in a position to provide and take entirely different and drastic decisions for our life. We are confident that in the time to come, we as Indians should be able to provide directions to the society and the dream of global village for the betterment of humanity according to the direction of our ancestors who always preached to act like ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’. We have to take the lead to lead the society. As a largest deep-rooted democratic system, we as a nation are in position to contribute our part in making the large section of the population a developed one. The responsibility of excelence lies on all of us - Indian or non-Indians everywhere. The future depends upon us. The next generation is not going to execuse us for our slakness. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has told categorically to rise, awake and deliver.

India - As A Developed Nation

India became independent in the year 1947, after approximately 200 years of British rule. During the British rule, the law and order situation were maintained for all the varied communities of these regions, as it appears from the historical evidence available in the books. The maintained law and order has acted as a boon to the development of these areas in various fields. There has been significant development in all the directions of human civilization within the framework of those periods in history. The growth of its new capital at New Delhi is an open example. The railway lines spread across the country. Schools, universities and other educational institutions were built for development. The industries were given priority. The growth of M/S Tata and its factories including the plants established in one of the poorest and remotest place in this part of the world are like a seed for the future of the coming centuries. Tata constructed one of the finest hotels during that period of history. These developments show the complete cohesiveness of public and private enterprises even during those old times when other parts of world were still preparing to fight world war.

After independence, India as a separate nation from its erstwhile Indian continent sets its own destiny on the night of 15 August 1947. Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru with his magnificent vision of future of a nation set course the development and construction of a sound infrastructure in a very systematic manner. The development of big dams, huge industries and world-class establishments became the backbones for the future of a country. In 1951, when world standard Indian Institutes of Technology were planned and started, it gave the direction and dream to this country. The students who got educated from these institutes have become today the torchbearers of the country’s new economy. Today, they are leading this nation from the front. Because of their significant broad development in almost every field, they are in a position to give direction in every aspect of life.

The vision and direction which was set for this country after independence, based on our old Indian traditions and culture of considering the whole world as one, gave a clear direction for 21st century in the mid of 20th century itself. Only thing lacking was some kind of implementation and systematic direction. Today, we talk about global economy, global Village, open market and so on, but these things are available in the Indian literature of the past. The planners who have set the direction for this country fortunately took the vision from those old cultures, tradition and publications and led the nation. The great freedom fighters got inspired with these visions for independence of this country. These visions produced many great thinkers and visionaries. Swami Vivekananada was one of the creations of that time. He was one of the finest thinkers at the beginning of 20th century to show the path to humanity. He wrote and conveyed his messages to the people of this country and the world. The world in general and India in particular benefited from his visions.

Today in the long history of Indian continent, it is happening to almost all the Asian countries together. When the other part of the world economy is rising at a meager rate of 2-6% per annum, the economy of the Asian countries is increasing even at the rate of 20-30% in a few cases. Since the last few years the Indian economy is rising at the rate of 6-9%. With the existing momentum of Indian economy, it has shaken the whole world. It appears that the elephant is rising and moving. Today, when Indian economy is rising at the rate of approximately 9% and hopefully this may go up to two figures shortly, it will shake and shape the economy of the world. Today, the world is recognizing the strength of 540 million youth of this country not for the benefit of these 540 million youth but for the benefit of the people of existing developed nations. These will benefit the millions of the Asian countries. These factors will change the course of evolution of the future. The sweeping move of Asian nation has generated hope for the entire world community. We have witnessed future. We have encountered hope. We have seen dream coming true. We have to dream more and more.
